BusiNet Microwave Broadband: quick to deploy, high performance, scalable internet access for SMMEs
BusiNet Microwave broadband internet services are Layer 3 broadband internet services provided over Mitsol’s wireless network in KwaZulu-Natal. These services are high speed, low-contention services with high reliability and performance and hence comparable to similar offerings over fibre. With the benefit of rapid deployment, SMMEs can turn up vital business services without the protracted delays associated with fibre builds. The service can be used as a primary or failover solution.
BusiNet Microwave Broadband Internet access services is available from 20Mbps to 100Mbps with a low contention ratio and high capacity packages. The service is provided from Mitsol’s wireless high sites with backhaul over a combination of fibre and high-capacity licenced microwave in a meshed configuration. High sites not on the fibre backbone are no more than a single microwave hop from a fibre-fed POP on Mitsol’s network. This all leads to high availability and reliability of the end-user’s services.
QUICK TO DEPLOY
The service is quick to deploy. Services are installed and operational within thirty working days from your application being processed.
LOW CONTENTION RATIO
Mitsol prides itself in the fact that we run a very low – and in some instances zero – contention across the network.
Mitsol provides an Online Self-Service Portal allowing you to manage your service with options such as: view services, view usage reports, order new services (including upgrades or downgrades) and log service calls.
HIGHER BANDWIDTH SPEEDS
Standard service speeds are up to 100Mbps. Higher speeds are available on request subject to a feasibility study.
Mitsol, the backbone of the BusiNet service, is an independent ISP and has Internet capacity across multiple upstream Telcos and ISPs. This multi-homing strategy ensures no single point of failures and ensures the best path possible for your internet traffic.
Mitsol’s network covers the main commercial and industrial areas of Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Ballito and surrounds.
